I wanted to do a normal piece about the morrighan but she wouldn't work with me. I couldn't understand why the hell she wanted to stand in the water instead of the battlefield that i wanted in the first place. And i just couldn't put my finger on the water story ( ok i was lazy to actually search for it )
Talking to lyndowyn I mentioned that frustration and she told the story of the washer of the ford, and then i understand why she wanted to be there:).

First inspiration for this
she is called the "washer at the ford," because if a warrior saw her washing his armor in the stream, it meant he was to die that day.In the ancient Celtic epic, The Ulster Cycle, The Morrígan is seen in the role of a bean nighe. When the hero Cúchulainn rides out to war, he encounters the Morrígan as a hag washing his bloody armour in a ford. From this omen he realizes this battle will be his last.

Second inspiration that influenced the piece. 'The Morrighan is a Goddess of gigantic proportions, who is straddling the two sides of the river when she encounters the Dagda eating from a cauldron along the river's edge.'
