Description

its been awhile that i finished a goddess:) the sketch has been made in ps, something i do more often after my discovery that sketching there gave a much better result.
the dress was the hardest part, i don't know what i had in mind when i sketched it, but it wasn't one of the easiests ones i ever painted.
the sea is painted, ( several try s ) and then i ruined it by adding a filter , while i thought i was doing the filter on another layer, and of course merged and saved the sea layers, and i didn't feel like painting it again, so i let it stay that way...

i just had to jump up and run because a spider was running over my desk :( i really don't feel save anymore :( ) i'm just wearing a long skirt and now i feel spiders running all over my leggs brrrr ugly things

soit. most know the version of botticelli, " the birth of venus"
i chose for the version without that thing, scallop or something like that, i remember another story about her birth were some godd cutt of his genitals, trew them into the sea, and were it merged with the foam, and venus was born:) and again more my own interpretation of this goddess:)

damm spider...

venus (roman goddess) and aphrodite ( greek goddess) are to be seen as one goddess
venus was the goddess of spring, gardens and later also the goddess of love and marriage and femine beauty,
She was the goddess of chastity in women, despite the fact that she had many affairs with both gods and mortals. As Venus Genetrix, she was worshiped as the mother of the hero Aeneas, the founder of the Roman people; as Venus Felix, the bringer of good fortune; as Venus Victrix, the bringer of victory, and as Venus Verticordia, the protector of feminine chastity.
Venus is also a nature goddess, associated with the arrival of spring. She is the bringer of joy to gods and humans. Venus really had no myths of her own but was so closely identified with the Greek Aphrodite that she "took over" Aphrodite's myths."
