The lamia was said to appear in graveyards as a beautiful woman who draws young men to their deaths. She would lie in wait for a naive victim, looking as if she needs his assistance in some way. legend has it that, if you see such a woman in a graveyard who appears to need help, you are supposed to call out to her, for the Lamia cannot answer back, since she has a snakes tongue and can only hiss.

In greek Mythology, Lamia was the daughter of Belus and a queen of Libya. Zeus had an affair with Lamia, and Hera , furious because she found out that Zeus cheated on her once more. The result of Hera's anger was that lamia totally gone crazy, and that she snatched children and murdered them. In her despair she became very ugly and zeus gave her the power to remove her eyes and put them back in,and all because here made lamia unable to close her eyes, so that she couldn't find any rest from the obsessing image of her dead children .

Ze had the ability to chance herself into a beautifull women, to seduce young men and devour by enjoy their youth, pure flesh and blood them when she got them.
