Translated : Friendship is an illusion. We can't live without it, and still.. Why do we have the urge to have friends, some more then others, but still. Does the ideal friendship exists? Is there a friendship that warms us , that gives us a shelter in a world where everybody seems to be very focused on their own ' ego' To my opinion , there is no such thing, and friendship is an illusion that we like to imagine so that we don't have to face our own solitude. An ideal friend should be a mirrow of your own self, somebody who can identify with our fears, dreams, desires etc. Almost a clone of yourself who has just that little more that makes you feel attracted to him because he or she guides you in a way, and of course the opposite way to. The thing is when we realise we often play maskerades even towards our friends, we start to realise that the only way to keep a friendship is when they live up towards our goals, our expectations.. As long as we have friends around us, we keep masquarade ourselves, even when those friends look behind it, they still only see a little fraction of the real you. Luckely we accept things from friends that we normally won't accept from totally strangers. Personaly i'm not the ideal friend. I'm far from being the perfect friend because i'm a loner. I need my friends but often i can live without them. If they accept that fact, they stay, if they don't , most of the time they just run away because of the minor interaction And those friendships mostly bleed to death . I think some true friendships are not illusions.
I have a very comfortable friendship with some of my girls where we can burp as loud as we want or even fart(!) without feeling self conscious.
I have very nice friends who are willing to stay on the phone with me until 4am when they are working or schooling the next day because I had nightmares, am upset and crying.
& those who are willing to watch silly bimbotic predictable chick flicks at the movies because I wanted something more light-hearted.
I have friends who know my faults, how large my ego can be at times & how fiery my temper can be when I'm mad but still choose to stick by my side.
There's not many of them but I do think I will treasure these friends by my side for life

«Don't care about your boyfriend/girlfriend, stay with your friend THEY will never leave you, you can count on them, HE/SHE could leave you...» When poeple say things like that I get so frustrated... It's totally untrue. A friend can leave as fast a a lover. And, in fact, a love relationship is a lot more deep and developed than a friendship.
