Oh okay. Good to know. I use psp X. I love the program. But I'm sure it can do way more than I give it credit for.. I need to find more plugins for it.

psp sure can do a lot and its easier then photoshop to understand:D I combine the 2 a bit. I always say that i want photoshop with the layout and some more feature of psp .

I rarely use plugins. And if I do its because i'm lazy
The plugins that i dare to use are eyecandy 4, xenofex2 and a flood filter. the first for burned edges and fire, the second for lightning and the thirth for water :D
And if you have plugin commander ( its a free one ) you can use photoshopplugins in psp :)

I love my psp program. I have X.. I do most of my work in it. I don't use a lot of filters right now. I have not found a lot I like that don't just totally ruin a picture. The thing I want to learn CS2 for is painting hair and all. I have not found a good way to do that in Paint shop Pro. Although there could be a way to do it and I have not learned it yet. I have a few of your brushes now. maybe I will install plugin commander so I can use them in psp. Hopefully I'll be able to figure it out. LOL.... I suck at that sort of tech stuff from time to time.

I used to have eye candy. When we moved my disk came up missing and my old computer crashed. So I have not been able to us that in a long time. And I love to do things with Fire so I don't know I may have to invest in that again.

Thanks for all the great advice. I have thought about trying to find a class. But I think if I can just find more tutorials on different effects I'll be good and it will cost less. lol

Oh i believe that there is a filter that is good, somebody adviced is once to me, but lazy me didn't search for it. i think it was called OptikVerveLabs something.
Paintshoppro is harder to paint with because the brushes, are the brushes aren't so fine
i 've made a comparisation a long time ago [link]
so you can see the difference .Thats the reason why i do hairpainting and really fine things in photoshop because of the soft and smaller brushes which psp doesnt have.

There is a photoshopfilter that you can use in psp ( with the plugin commander installed) that creates fire and there is also on that create ice . those ones are called Panopticum fire and ice plugin. but i have no idea if its a freeware one.

There are a lot of good tutorials here on DA and also to find on the internet. even photoshop tuts can help in psp. It sometimes just see how they get one effect and try it out in psp to see if you can get a simular effect :D
